Zoho People Blueprints record every step of HR processes you want to follow in your organization. As an HR professional, you will inevitably have to work with a lot of complex processes.

From onboarding to excluding, every HR process has several steps. A clearly defined blueprint streamlines the entire process, so you and your employees don’t miss any important steps in the process.

The benefits of implementing a Blueprint:

Workflow in Zoho People consists of a set of trigger processes such as Create, Edit, Update, Approve, Reject or Delete date based actions.

A rule is executed based on a trigger process and criteria, allowing the workflow to be triggered by the automated process of sending email alerts, checklists and hook lists (to do list) .

Benefits of Workflow:

1. Criteria – It helps to define the Workflow.
2. Trigger – It helps to start Criteria Based Workflow and Action Based Execution such as Create, Edit, Create or Edit, Update Fields, Approve, Reject, Delete and Execute based on date.
3. Date Based Action – Reminders are now replaced with this feature.
4. Time Based Action – It helps to execute the workflow when given a specific execution time.

Creating tasks and assigning them to respective owners makes it possible to keep track of the work done by individuals and also to maintain a register of activities to be completed.

You can create tasks of three different types:

1. Individual tasks – which can be added by the administrator or by the reporting manager for his subordinates or by the user for himself. Permissions are already set by default so that tasks can be added to subordinates and self.
2. Tasks added directly from respective forms – These tasks are added in the form itself for easy recording and tracking.
3. Tasks linked to a workflow – These tasks are associated with a checklist which in turn is mapped to a workflow. A workflow is set up and upon action a checklist is triggered with the tasks you create.
